At Care Solutions Homecare, we believe exceptional care starts with exceptional people.
Every member of our team shares the same commitment—to provide compassionate, reliable and person-centred support that helps people live safely and independently in the place they call home.
From our office team, who are often your first point of contact, to our dedicated carers supporting people every day, we're here to listen, guide and provide the reassurance families need.
We're proud to be a local provider trusted by families across Dumfries & Galloway and Lanarkshire, delivering care with kindness, professionalism and respect.
Because for us, care isn't just about what we do—it's about how we make people feel.
Nicola Hay
Co Founder & Managing Director
Over 20 years ago, Nicola Hay had a vision for what home care could look like, not what it usually looked like, but what it should look like.
Today, that vision is Care Solutions.
As Co-Founder and Managing Director, Nicola has spent two decades building a service where people can live well and independently in their own homes, on their own terms. Her passion for workforce
development and digital innovation means Care Solutions doesn't just keep up with the care sector, we help shape it.
And she's not just shaping it here in Dumfries and Galloway. Nicola sits as a Director of Scottish Care, contributing to national conversations about the future of social care in Scotland. She also
represents our sector within the Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership, making sure the voices of the people we support are heard at the highest level.
What makes Nicola's leadership different? It starts with community. Before Care Solutions, she worked in community development, building partnerships and finding sustainable solutions. That approach
never left her, and you feel it in the way Care Solutions works.
We're proud to be led by someone who genuinely believes care can change lives. Because it can. And every day, it does.
Marion Kay
Co Founder & Finance Director
Most businesses talk about growth. Marion Kay has actually built it, from the ground up, over 20 years, and she's showing no signs of stopping.
As Co-Founder and Finance Director of Care Solutions Homecare, Marion has been instrumental in turning a shared vision into one of the most established homecare providers in the region. We're talking
a team of more than 180 staff, three offices spanning Dumfries and Galloway, North Lanarkshire, and South Lanarkshire.
But here's what makes Marion's story interesting: she didn't come from finance or care. She came from local government and hospitality. She knows what operational excellence looks like. She knows
what great service feels like. And she brought all of that with her when she built Care Solutions.
As Finance Director, Marion keeps the business sustainable so we can keep doing what we do, delivering high-quality, person-centred care to the communities that depend on us.
Care Solutions exists because two women decided to build something better. We think that's worth celebrating.
Sharon Malone
Registered Manager D & G
Thirteen years ago, Sharon Malone joined Care Solutions as a Care Coordinator
Today, she's our Registered Manager, and every step of that journey says everything about who she is.
Sharon brings 18 years of experience in care, with a particular passion for supporting people living with dementia to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. It's not just a
specialism. It's something she genuinely cares about, deeply.
What you might not expect? Before care, Sharon worked with Audi as a Welcome Host and in hospitality roles that gave her something that can't be taught: an instinct for making people feel valued the
moment they walk through the door. That warmth is still there in everything she does.
As Registered Manager, Sharon doesn't just oversee the service; she champions the people delivering it. She's passionate about developing strong teams, growing great leaders, and making sure every
person we support gets the very best.
Amanda McGauchie
Registered Manager D & G
Amanda McGauchie has spent more than 20 years in health and social care. And in that time, she's learned something that shapes everything she does: the best services
are built on relationships. ?
As our Registered Manager for the East of Dumfries and Galloway, Amanda brings not just two decades of experience, but an SVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care and Leadership and Management
qualifications that reflect her commitment to getting it right, for clients and for staff.
What makes Amanda stand out? She holds both in equal measure. She's just as passionate about making sure service users feel heard, supported, and respected as she is about making sure the people
delivering that care feel valued and empowered.
She joined Care Solutions just over a year ago, and in that time, she's brought exactly the kind of positive, collaborative energy that makes our service what it is.
Health and social care has always been more than a job to Amanda. It's a calling. And our clients in the East region are lucky to have her.
Vicki Parker
Registered Manager Lanarkshire
Twenty years. Dozens of care settings. One consistent thread, a relentless commitment to making services better for the people who rely on them.
Meet Vicki Parker, Registered Manager at Care Solutions.
Vicki's career spans more than two decades across a wide range of care sectors, and she's built a reputation for exactly the kind of leadership that organisations like ours need: calm, rigorous, and
completely people-focused.
She's an expert in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and multi-site management, the behind-the-scenes work that makes great care possible. But what really defines Vicki is how she builds
teams. She creates environments where staff feel supported to grow, where best practice is the standard (not the exception), and where everyone — staff and service users alike — can genuinely
thrive.
Safeguarding, service development, performance management, Vicki brings deep expertise to all of it. But ask anyone who's worked with her, and they'll tell you the same thing: she just 'gets'
people.
